Online Daily Calorie Calculator

Continuing our technology empowerment journey with the Student Scholars Center. I took on the challenge of creating an “Online Daily Calorie Calculator“. Designed for student health and wellness, the tool allows users to input age, gender, height, weight, and activity level, providing personalized daily calorie requirements. Beyond basic calculations, the tool breaks down recommended grams of fat, protein, carbohydrate, and alcohol intake, encouraging a holistic approach to wellness. This project uses HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and JavaScript to reflect the fusion of technology and health education.

Understanding overall student well-being:

In collaboration with the Student Scholars Center team, we identified the need for a tool that aligns with their commitment to holistic student well-being. Online Daily Calorie Calculator emerged to empower students with practical knowledge about their nutritional needs. It also, emphasizes the interrelationship between physical health and academic success.

Personalized Nutrition Insights:

At the center of the tool is the ability to provide users with personalized nutritional insights. By inputting necessary details such as age, gender, height, weight, and activity level, students get not only their daily calorie requirements. And also a breakdown of recommended intakes of fat, protein, carbohydrates, and alcohol. This personalized approach fosters a deeper understanding of nutritional needs, promoting informed and healthy lifestyle choices.

Interactive User Interface with HTML5 and CSS3:

Creating an interactive and visually appealing user interface was paramount. HTML5 and CSS3 were employed to create a seamless and intuitive design. The clean layout ensures ease of use, while responsive design principles make the tool accessible across devices. User-centered design encourages students to engage with their health actively, strengthening the connection between technology and personal well-being.

Real-time calculations with JavaScript and PHP:

JavaScript and PHP are integrated to bring forward real-time calculations. As users input their information, the tool dynamically calculates and updates daily calorie intake as well as fat, protein, carbohydrates, and alcohol graphically. This dynamic feedback process not only educates users about their nutritional needs but also instills a sense of responsibility for their health.

Promoting a healthy lifestyle:

Online daily calorie calculator goes beyond numbers; It encourages a culture of health awareness. By providing insight into nutritional needs, the tool encourages students to make informed choices that have a positive impact on their overall well-being. It serves as a valuable resource in promoting healthy lifestyles and complements the Student Scholars Center’s dedication to fostering the complete student experience.
